QUEENSPARK VIP COMPETITION TERMS & CONDITIONS: WIN A WINTER WARDROBE FOR R10,000

 

  1. This competition is conducted by Queenspark Proprietary Limited (registration number: 2001/022975/07) (hereinafter referred to as “Queenspark”). The competition will be open for entry on 8 May and will close at 23h59 on 10 July 2025, and no entries will be accepted after this date.
  2. One winner (“the Winner”) will be randomly selected by an independent person in accordance with all relevant regulatory requirements on/before 18 July 2025. Queenspark reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant or Winner and may require such information as it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose, including but not limited to verification of age, identity, and compliance with these rules. Failure to provide such verification may result in disqualification. This decision shall be final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
  3. Prize Details:

By participating in this competition in accordance with these rules, entrants stand a chance to win the prize, which consists of 1 (one) Queenspark Gift Card to the value of R10,000 (ten thousand rand) (“Prize”). The Prize is exclusively for the individual Prize Winner and is not transferable, not exchangeable and cannot be exchanged for its cash value. The Prize must be redeemed within 6 (six) months of notification, failing which it will be forfeited.

  1. The Winner will be notified via email on 18 July 2025. The Winner must respond to Queenspark’s notification within 72 (seventy-two) hours to claim the Prize. Should Queenspark be unable to contact the Winner, Queenspark reserves the right to select an alternative Winner, and in such circumstances, the first chosen Winner will have no recourse against Queenspark.
  2. Participation by entrants in this competition constitutes an agreement to abide by the rules herein, and you further bind yourself to the extent lawfully permissible.
  3. Non-compliance with these rules shall render the Winner ineligible to participate in this competition and to receive the Prize. Such person hereby acknowledges that he/she/they will have no recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against Queenspark and/or its subsidiaries and/or its holding companies (including the directors, employees, members, independent contractors, agents, consultants, sub-contractors and/or any other representatives of the said entities).
  4. This competition is open to all Queenspark customers who are natural persons who are aged 18 (eighteen) years or older, and who are resident in South Africa

 8. Competition Entry Requirements

8.1. To be eligible for entry into the competition, customers must register and make an online purchase at www.queenspark.com to the value of R500 or more during the competition period. Qualifying purchases will be automatically entered into the draw.

8.2. Participants must follow Queenspark on both Instagram and Facebook by following the official accounts: @queensparksa.

8.3. Participants must share a Queenspark winter look on their personal social media profiles and tag Queenspark using the handle @queensparksa. The social media post must remain visible for the duration of the competition period.

8.4. Entries that do not comply with all the above requirements will be deemed invalid and will not be entered into the draw.

  1. The Winner will collect the Prize at one of Queenspark’s stores within the Republic of South Africa, and the Winner will be required to sign an acknowledgement of receipt of such Prize.
  2. No persons who are directors, members, partners, employees or agents of, or consultants to, Queenspark, its marketing service provider(s) utilised in connection with this competition, any supplier of goods or services in connection with this competition, any other person who directly or
    indirectly controls, or is controlled by, them, or any spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner of any of such persons, may enter the competition.
  3. The Prize is non-refundable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Queenspark excludes liability for any defects in the Prize. Queenspark will not be responsible for replacing any lost, stolen, or damaged Gift Cards once issued to the Winner.
  4. In the event of a dispute in respect of any aspect of this competition, Queenspark’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  5. Where an entrant fails to provide his/her personal information within 24 (twenty-four) hours of it being requested by Queenspark, s/he shall be disqualified from this competition and automatically forfeit the Prize. In the event of such a disqualification, Queenspark, in its sole discretion, shall be entitled to select another Winner from amongst the competition entrants.
  6. By entering, you consent to Queenspark processing and retaining your contact details (cellphone number and email address) for the duration of the campaign to communicate competition-related information, as well as future product and promotional updates, in accordance with POPIA. You may withdraw your consent for marketing communications at any time by following the opt-out instructions included in such communications or by contacting Queenspark directly. Withdrawal of consent for marketing purposes will not affect your entry into the competition.

 

  1. To the maximum extent permitted in law, Queenspark and its directors, officers, employees, contractors and agents shall not incur any liability to any person for any injury, claim, loss or damage of any nature whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, as a result of entering into, or arising from any cause whatsoever or howsoever arising from their participation in, this competition or the use of any prize won there under (any such Prize being utilized at the own risk of any Winner thereof).
  2. Queenspark reserves the right (to the maximum extent permitted in law) to amend this competition, including the rules and, in the event of any unforeseen circumstances or factors, the Prize itself.
  3. Queenspark may, before or after the Winner of the competition has been publicly announced, require that a Winner permit the use of their image and/or name in its marketing material and/or participate in its marketing activities (including endorsing, promoting and/or advertising the services of Queenspark or any of its holding companies) (“the Invitation”). The Winner has the right to decline the Invitation. Should the Winner fail to decline the Invitation by telephone: Chantal Le Roux: 021 460 9641, or per e-mail: cleroux@queenspark.com within 2 (two) days of being notified that he/she is a Winner of the competition, then such Winner shall be deemed to have accepted the Invitation and granted their permission and/or agreed to participate in the manner as aforesaid. Winners will not be entitled to any payment or other form of remuneration for participating in any of the aforesaid activities. All and any publicity materials (including those utilising the Winner’s name and/or image) will be the sole property of Queenspark.
  4. If any act, omission, event or circumstance occurs which is not reasonably foreseeable or is beyond the reasonable control of Queenspark and which delays or prevents Queenspark from complying with these rules, Queenspark will not be liable for any failure to perform or delay in performing its obligations.
  5. Queenspark collects and uses the personal information of entrants to allow them to enter the competition and to determine the Winner for the competition. Queenspark may use the Winner’s name and/or images in marketing material, which may include publication of the Winner’s name and/or images on the website and the Queenspark social media pages, but the Winner will be informed in advance and provided the option to consent or decline.
  6. This competition shall comply with, and will be subject to, any peremptory provisions of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (“CPA”) and the regulations promulgated thereunder, which are deemed to be incorporated herein (“Peremptory Provisions”). In the event of any conflict between these rules and the Peremptory Provisions, the latter shall prevail.   7. This competition, these rules and any dispute pursuant thereto shall be subject to and construed in accordance with South African law. The South African courts shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any disputes in respect of the application of these rules and otherwise in respect of this competition.
  8. Any provision of these rules or the competition which is held to be invalid or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such invalidity or unenforceable without invalidating or rendering unenforceable the remaining provisions thereof.
  9. By participating in the competition, entrants agree to indemnify Queenspark, and release and hold Queenspark harmless against any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with this competition or resulting from acceptance and participation in the competition including, without limitation, breach of the warranties set out above, personal injuries, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
  10. The entrant understands and accepts that, during its engagement with Queenspark, Queenspark may collect and process personally identifiable information about the entrant to allow the entrant to enter the competition, or in relation to, the entrants engagement by Queenspark, including all documents and information required to be furnished by the entrant to Queenspark from time to time in terms. Queenspark is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Entrants’ personal information will only be used for the purpose of administering this competition and for marketing purposes if consent has been given.
